Who doesn’t love a little spooky decor on Halloween? The thing I love about Halloween isn’t the candy. It’s not the trick-or-treating or the costumes, either. I LOVE HALLOWEEN DECORATIONS! For my AMAZING readers, I’m putting together a link party for Halloween Decor, which means TONS of ideas. Don’t miss it! Details are at the end of this post, so keep reading!
Why Am I Hosting a Link Party?
Sure, it’s nice to binge on Reese’s Cups and watch Hocus Pocus. The Nightmare Before Christmas is cherished in our house. Want to know what’s MORE fun than watching Halloween movies?
Of course! It’s making spooky decorations and designing spooky spaces! That’s what I’ll be doing in the next few weeks to prepare for the holiday. Even better? I’m making a space for bloggers and decor enthusiasts out there to share their ideas so you can get inspired!
I went to Good Will and Dollar Tree today and I’m all stocked up for some fun decor for the upcoming holiday. Back in my sorority days, I learned that why spend five bucks on crafting supplies when you can spend one? I can always make it into something AWESOME later on. If you follow me on Instagram, you got a sneak peek of the loot this afternoon, but I’m no tease, so here’s what I found!
Want to know what I’m going to make? You’ll have to come back and see! I’ll be posting a preview next week!
My Spooky Inspirations
Since Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, I’ve got some spooky inspirations. My two favorite films this time of year are Hocus Pocus and The Nightmare Before Christmas. You can probably tell from the photo above which one I’m leaning towards with my decor this year. 😉
I’ve seen tons of cool decor in magazines, stores, and on Pinterest, but I refuse to pay the money it costs for pre-made stuff. I thought this wreath from Pier 1 was adorable, but I could probably make something similar without paying $60 for it:
Pottery Barn has TONS of pumpkin decor that is adorable! But again, I don’t have the budget to spend $30+ on each one!
Even Michael’s was looking expensive! From wreaths to signs, everything was outside of my budget.
Anyways, this year, the decor is going to be a bit on the low side because we’re currently renovating our living room. I couldn’t just skip decorating for the holiday. It makes me too happy!
So, the compromise this year is to create something out of my finds at the thrift and dollar stores. Seriously, they have some great stuff there, even if you’re not very crafty! Want to know what I make? Make sure you subscribe below or follow me on Social Media so you don’t miss it!
